1. Building a Consistent Morning Routine
With the new “year” starting whether it’s back to school for families and a kickoff time for a busy season ahead for most businesses. We are required to work smarter and not harder when September rolls in to help us thrive during our day. Some morning routine ideas include:
Getting fresh air while letting the dog out
Lighting a candle while getting dressed to bring calmnss
Playing a new playlist to provide an energy boost
Enjoying a cup of coffee or tea while letting the dog out to bring stillness before the busy rush occurs
Opening the windows for fresh air to encourage deep breaths.
Journal for 10 minutes before everyone wakes up to set intentions
2. Meditation Season
Meditation is a game changer for your morning if you're able to add it in. Deep breathing provides clarity, focus, and calmness to allow you to take on your day. If the morning is tough - any time of the day is OK to stop and have a moment to yourself of meditation.
I’m currently using The Head Space app for daily meditations - SHINE meditations are my favorite. however I’m looking for recommendations, please! If you enjoy a meditation app can you share the name below?

All of these activities provide a way to give back to you in a meaningful way to enjoy the season.

6. Movement and Exercise
The air is crisp in the morning for a brisk walk or run. The air warms by afternoon making it a perfect time for a walk (maybe with the dog if you have one). Movement during fall can come in many different ways and because the air is not too hot or cold (yet) it’s a perfect time for movement outdoors allowing more benefits to your health and wellbeing.
This yoga mat is beautiful and perfect for your fall flow. It reminds me of the quote "Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go" - so true. This is a time of renewal. Sometimes something as simple as a yoga mat can remind us about our renewed goals adn of course help with our movement goals.
7. Journaling
Adding journaling to part of your day whether it's during your Fall morning routine, mid-day break, or right before bedtime can encourage you to clear brain fog and set clear intentions. Journaling can also take only five minutes! With Fall beign the seaon of gratitude, just committing to writing down one thing you are grateful for each day can do wonders on your mental well being.
Check out this simple gratitude journal for inspiration if you are starting out.
8. Lattes
Need I say more? Lattes are warm, cozy and feel like a warm hug. This latte is from a coffee shop favorite: Tatte Bakery & Cafe (with various locations in MA and other states). Extra bonus if you add pumpkin spice (just saying.....it's a win!)
9. Vision Board Season
When October rolls I start to slowly plan my vision board. Believe it or not it takes me at least the last three months of the year to finish it to be right in time for the new year. I take my time and really use tools to help me set intentional goals – it works, y’all. This has become a yearly tradition that I do for myself and it always feels like a gift when it’s complete and a gift is good for your soul...especially when it's from you.

10. More Sleep
The days become shorter and the nights get longer which helps promote more rest and recovery. Also known as cozy season. We all know that rest is SUPER important and this is the time to do it especially with the additional commitments that may be added to our schedules.
